Unicorn - The best of, on See For Miles Records. Unicorn were a great UK country rock outfit in the same vein as Poco Firefall and The Flying Burrito Brothers. They first started out as The Late Edition in the late sixties before changing their name completely for their debut album, which came out in 1970. They released a total of four albums brim-full of exquisite harmonies and very pleasant, mostly laid back tunes. This is the first time any Unicorn material has seen the light of day on CD, and this lovely 20
track compilation does them proud. Just to do bit of namedropping, PinkFloyd's Dave Gilmour produced quite a fair whack of this band's output., and he also writes some very nice
introductory sleeve notes.
