What the hell are we here for?
This blog has always caused me some amount of confusion. What was I doing it for? I certainly believe that no one really
cares about the mundane details of my boring existence; no one really cares about how much toilet paper I picked up at the
grocery store, for example. This is the main reason I haven't posted to the site in so long; I wasn't sure what to do with
it. There are people who are doing this successfully, but I'm not one of those people. My life is too boring, apparently,
to attract traffic to this site.
So, the question remains: What should I do with a blog of my very own? Well, the answer struck me yesterday like a bolt out
of the blue while watching "Attack of the Show" on G4TV: anything that I want. Suddenly, I understood what blogs are about.
I've decided that what I really want to do with this blog is, essentially, make this an outlet for some articles about things
that interest me: current events, movie & TV reviews... anything that really strikes my fancy.
And I'll save those toilet paper stories for people who really care about them. :)

Some people just have *way* too much free time....
More evidence that some people have way too much free time on their hands:
I have a working hypothesis that I'm going to throw out there in the hopes that someone can prove (or disprove)
it:
The universe has a limited pool of "common sense" that humanity can pull from. Some get more access to it than
others, and way too many don't get any at all. No one gets anywhere near the maximum capacity of common sense.
The idea is this: if everyone had their maximum capacity of common sense (if their cup were full, so to speak), then
humanity would just keep growing ad infinitum, because people would just get along with each other, and everyone
would mind their own fucking business.
However, since there is only so much common sense to go around, people get bent out of shape over the stupidest
things (such as whether or not a stupid cartoon character designed for 8-year-old boys is gay), that those with better access
to the pool of common sense just have to kill the rest before they breed. They generally don't have to work very
hard: those without common sense usually kill each other off first.
Mark Twain said it best (and more eloquently): "The only thing common about common sense is the common lack of it."
So, to those of you who have enough time on your hands to wonder whether or not SpongeBob SquarePants and his starfish
friend Patrick are gay lovers: Get a real job--in fact, I have two openings for forklift operators you might be interested
in.

Just checkin' a few facts...
I've just been going through some of the links on some of these pages to remove the dead ones, and to update old ones.
That's all.
Although, today I'm kind of sad. Some estimates of the death-toll in the Asian tsunamis numbers 50,000 dead.
You should really check out cnn.com (I just did, and the headline reads: Tsunami death toll tops 56,000). Not fun.
Now I read that the Pentagon is planning to send ships, troops, and supplies over there to help out, as well as a total
of $35 million in aid. The USA doesn't have unlimited resources (despite what some around the world might think), but
wisely applying the massive resources we do have would go a long way in helping the USA's image to the rest of the
world.

Okay... it works...
It doesn't work the way I would have set it up... but whoever built this is obviously not the unquestionable
genius I am. :)
Note that this site is under construction, and I'll be moving some things around as I get the chance. It should
be a little more often than it has been in recent years... but I'm getting there.

Just checkin'..
I'm just checking to see if this dang blasted thing works. ;)
