Ms Del Papa, one of Nevada’s outstanding daughters, has a Nevada based education and has practiced law in Nevada since 1978.
Her contributions to our state, and to the nation, are many: The Trust of Public Lands National Advisory; The Nevada Women’s Fund Advisory; The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Board of Regents; The Sierra Arts Foundation; Truckee Meadows College Advisory and the University of Nevada, Reno College of Arts and Science Advisory.
The diligence and expertise which Frankie Sue brings to her tasks has in turn brought her such honors as:
Sparks Business and Professional Women’s, Woman of the Year
La Sertoma International Youth Service Award for Outstanding Community Leadership
She began her political career as a staff member to Alan Bible during a term of his office as United States Senator, and she served as a legislative staff member to the former United States Senator Howard Connon.
Ms . Del Papa bears the prominenance of the first woman to be elected to the office of the State of Nevada’s Secretary of State; as well as the first woman to hold her current position of Attorney General.
Her most recent appointment places her as Chairman of the “Governor’s Commission on Women”. In this capacity she will monitor a 10 person commission, which will study the changing and developing roles of women in society, including the recognition of socioeconomic factors that influence the status of women, and will recommend proposed legislation.
The commission will also collect and disseminate information on activities, programs, and essential services available to women in Nevada.
