This is a one-sided topologic surface having no inside or outside, formed by inserting the small open end of a tapered tube through the side of the tube and making it contiguous with the longer open end.
In other words...cut off your sleeve at the shoulder, take your sleeve cuff and insert it in a slit in the side of the sleeve and then expand the cuff and attach it to the open shoulder. You now have a pouch without an opening. NOW WHAT IS THAT? AND WHY WOULD YOU DO IT?

It’s kind of like paying your DPMA dues, year after year, and never attending a meeting.
We have some members that do that! For those of you that do, please don’t get upset and let your membership lapse...you know me...I’m harmless...rather curious though!
I see your name every month when I receive our membership lists from National. I feel you must believe you are receiving something from our chapter otherwise you would not be paying the dues. But kind of like the Klein Bottle, I can’t for the life of me understand what it is!
As a matter of fact boredom, and the curiosity of the invisible member has gotten hold of me. And like a grand passion, I will not let it go until I find it’s source.
So be forewarned. After the publication of this article, allowing you a few days to think of the answer, I will be calling each of you.
I expect my call will be well received, - you really have to patronize a bored individual they can be a bit crazy - and you will have the perfect answer for me.
If you don’t have the answer for the membership puzzle then, at least, tell me what the Klein Bottle is for.
