About the WritePlace

WritePlace is the work of an English tutor and a high school English teacher. It is intended to be a place that high school students can come for help with their essay assignments. Feel free to print out any of the site sections and consult the material as you are writing your essay. For instance, when you write your introduction, check the introduction section to make sure you have included all of the necessary elements of an introduction, and use the revision section to revise the whole paper.

The first section offers an overview of the analytical essay and step-by-step instruction about the elements of the analytical essay. Some of the hyperlinks in the essay help lead to other sections of the site. Many lead off the site to respected university English department sites that offer writing help.

The second section is a collection of links to sites that should be of interest to readers and writers. The links will be annotated, updated, and expanded as time permits.
