Sometimes puppies do come into rescues--that is rare though.
Most rescue dogs are 2 years to 9 years old,and the majority are owner surrender.

Benefits of Purebred VS. mixed breeds
Of course we encourage anyone wanting a mixed breed dog to seek one out at a local shelter or rescue orginization.
Purebred dog people are in no way 'anti-mutt'. We do of course object to mixes being bred on purpose and those
'breeders' who lie about the dogs they raise. Like doodle-type mixes all being 'No shed' or 'Low-shed'.
Just what is 'Low -shed'?? shedding is SHEDDING! all of the doodle type mixes shed a lot--just ask any
professional groomer!
