Class Descriptions – Citrus Park
Any Witch Way
This
four and a half-hour class is built around Sudberry House’s “Four Way
Designs”. In each hour you will learn a
different technique to create the chosen design. If you don’t own an embroidery machine, you can focus on the
other two techniques, plus Lori will teach you how to create one of the
embroidery designs without an embroidery machine. Choose from a Witch, Santa or
Snowman pattern pack.
Designer Club – Mega Hoop
Fun
OK, the Mega Hoop.
Have you every used it? Are you
wondering what, exactly, those clips are for that came with it? And what is the P1, P2 and P3 for on the
side of the hoop? Admit it. You really WANT to use your Mega Hoop but
you don’t want to ask for help. Guess
what? You don’t have to. Sign up for this class and Lori will guide
you through all the possibilities of the Mega Hoop.
Designer Club – Pictogram Embellishment
Learn how to
combine decorative stitches on your sewing machine to create your own beautiful
designs. It’s easier than you think,
and since there are so many stitches built into your Husqvarna Viking machine,
the possibilities are staggering. For
those of you who have machines with memory, you will also learn how to program
stitches and save them for a another sewing session.
Four separate
workshops are being offered to help you create quick and easy gifts for the
holidays. Workshop 1 is Heirloom Pin
Cushion; Workshop 2 is Hip Hugger Purse; Workshop 3 is Couched Scarf; and
Workshop 4 is Tissue Sachet. Perfect
little “somethings” for all your friends and relatives; they’ll love that you
made it for them.
You knew you could piece quilt blocks almost at the
speed of light with your serger, right?
And that your serger makes it soooo very easy to get a perfect scant ¼”
seam, right? Want to learn how to
piecing a bowtie block on the serger?
You betcha! Join in the fun and
we’ll go bananas about bowties. A
monkey or two might make an appearance.

Serger Club – Serger Garment Bag
Join Elizabeth
as she guides you through the making of a garment bag. You’ll use (learn or re-relearn) several
serger techniques making this jazzy bag and learn some of the what-to-do’s in
using decorative thread. You’ll also
learn a really cool technique for making matching piping out of bias tape, some
decorative thread and a three-thread overlock.
Can’t get any more exciting that that!
This large
stocking is created using several different techniques and feet. You will learn how to use the 2-3mm
Embellishment Foot, the Clear Open Toe Foot, and the Clear Seam Guide Foot
while creating this stocking. (Hmm, a
pattern…Designer Club – Mega Hoop Fun and now this.)
Viking Club – Paper-pieced Christmas
Wall Hanging
This
mini quilt features four paper-pieced blocks which can be made into a mini wall
hanging or placemats, incorporated into stockings or whatever your heart
desires. This quick and easy technique
makes it possible to join small fabric shapes quickly and accurately.
