In still life work, the artist has
total control over all of
the elements of the painting. The items to include, the lighting , the
background, the story to tell are all up to the artist. That is the challenge
and the freedom which draws me to it. I'm able to work from life and my
model doesn't get tired. Well..., any flowers or fruit may need to be
replaced from time to time...
< This
painting shows childhood toys and stuff that are as much a
portrait of the person as a likeness is. This type of work can be
commissioned as well.
