Darkest Africa Game:

The remote trading post of "Kodok," soon to be
swarming with; refugees, native warriors,
'machine gun hunting' pygmies, and shrieking
battalions of Frenchmen. It was an enjoyable game, with
a surprisingly high number of players achieving their
respective victory conditions.

Various groups of British explorers, Sudanese infantry,
itinerant Archbishops, and Egyptian machine gun crews
fled from the jungle on the right to reach the Nile River
on the left, and rescue at the hands of British steamers.

At right, blurry Zanzibari riflemen sneaking around a
magnificently focused mosque.

A
nd below, 'Shrieking' French irregulars burst out of
the jungle, rushing towards the trading post.

Sir Percy Smith-Smythe-Smith oversees
the evacuation of refugees along the pier. Everyone can
see a pair of British steamers approaching to make a
rescue.... But what are those allegedly friendly natives
doing in the background?

And to the far right the unscrupulous Zanzibaris are about to make an attack with calamitous results... for the unlucky Zanzibaris.

''Friendly' natives rush out of their village to
loot the trading post. Their departure from the village will
provide the wandering Archbishop Abelard with the
opportunity to sneak out of the jungle in the rear and
steal the dugout canoes in the foreground. Thus effecting
his escape to the steamers on the river.

For reasons known only to Bimbashi (Captain)
Zamirizi, the Egyptian infantry continues to defend the Union Jack and refuses to leave their camp. When personally ordered to evacuate the position the Bimbashi responds, "Don't bother me now efendi, I'm busy." And he continues to direct volleys into the approaching Tirailleurs Senegalaise.
A steamer full of British infantry arrives in the nick of time
and its crew take the opportunity to fire just a few parting
shots at the remains of the fleeing Zanzibaris, who may
consider themselves lucky that this steamer was the one without the 3 pdr and Gardener gun on the foredeck.
Sudanese infantry disembark from their longboat and
rescue the Archbishop Abelard and his flock of refugee
parishioners.
