Some of you may remember in the original GAMES Magazine (pre-1990), they would sometimes have a puzzle consisting of a 3-by-3 grid of pictures, where every row, column and diagonal line of three pictures shared some common theme. The recent Trivia Scavenger Hunts reminded me of these puzzles. So I decided to try creating my own.
As in the original puzzle, your job is to figure out the theme for each line of 3 pictures. Keep in mind it's my first time trying to create one of these: they won't all be gems. One theme I'm particularly proud of (I started with that theme and built the grid around itwith lots of help from Wikipedia).

But I added a little twist…. Notice that the center square contains a question mark. Instead of giving you the center picture, I'm giving you four pictures below. You need to choose which picture belongs such that it “fits” the theme of the row, column, and two diagonals it resides in.
Here are the four pictures.

You guys created (and solved!) some amazing puzzles with the Trivia Scavenger Hunts, so I'm sure you'll be able to solve this without too much difficulty <insert evil grin and maniacal cackle>.
Enjoy! I know I did.
