Phoebe arrived here in April,2002.

Phoebe had a 3 day drive to her new home.

Sadley Phoebe has not adjusted well to the change in her life. She had to leave the home she knew for 5 years and be placed in a new home. Not only did she lose her home but she lost her friends, 4 domestic that shared her life.Phoebe is one of  those that do not adjust well to change.
Her owner could not keep her any longer, a job relocation caused Phoebe to lose her secure home and everything she new.
We are hoping to move Phoebe in with 2 new arrivals, to give her companions to share her life with.
Phoebe does not understand what has happened to her, and she is still upset about the changes in her life. It is truly sad when these things happen, the animals don't understand why things have changed, some adjust in time, others may never adjust.
Phoebe spent her first winter ever in the snow. She had been raised and kept indoors all her life, so the outdoors was a whole new experience for her. Her first experience with snow was something she was not to sure of, but when she finally gave in, she enjoyed the snow and playing in it.

Not to sure what this white stuff is or if she really likes it.

Phoebe has been moved now into the big cage with Rufus & Biggie. She has been with them for a while now and we are hoping in time they will all become friends.

Her eyes follow every move you make as you pass her cage.

Phoebe is a very stubborn girl, she refuses to let you think she is happy. But when she thinks you are not around, you can catch her playing with the toys in her cage. I tried to entice her with a peacock feather one day, I had it right in her face and she just sat there as stubborn as can be, refusing to play. Moving her in with others, I feel will make a big difference in her attitude.
She is far from mean, she is just lost and alone right now.
