Frequently asked questions and the best answers I have (today) Q: What do you do to shorten those Benelli Stocks? A: We have to remove the existing internal structures in the plastic stock before we cut them down, and then build new internal structures using a high strength epoxy. Then we finish it with a pachmyr decelerator butt pad custom fit to the shorter stock. Most of our customers feel that the result is better than the factory original in addition to being the correct length for most shooters. Q: What are you doing to those Glocks that is so special? A: There are a couple of areas on the Glock where we can tinker with "perfection" and get a little more of it (perfection that is!). One of the main improvements is to radius the area under the trigger guard so that it does not apply as much pressure to the shooter's hand. We can also polish and adjust the factory trigger mechanism to yield a better trigger experience without compromising safety in any way. There is a lot more, call me and we can talk about it. Q: What is so special about that M4 carbine? A: From the outside, nothing. We can build or modify a carbine to look really cool just like anybody else. The key about AR-15 carbines is will the thing run? In addition to upgrading or installing all of the components and features that people want these days on their carbines, we actually take the time to make sure that the gun is as accurate and reliable as the first priority, before it looks cool. Q: What is so special about that Remington 870 shotgun? A: Same answer as for the AR-15. First priority is getting your gun to be the most reliable, shootable, and smooth to operate, then we work on the functional features, then we work on cosmetics. We do customization and build guns for lots of people who have to carry them into harms way. Those considerations always come first, then we can always make the gun look the way you want it to. Q: What can you do to fix up my old revolver? A: First and foremost, we work on the action, the timing, and overall reliability. We can restore most revolvers to better working condition than they had when they left the factory, with a reliable, glass smooth action, that gives reliable ignition. Then we can add features like night sights, sight inserts, bevel packages, custom finishes, and other things our customers want. The only caveat is for older revolvers for which parts are no longer available, sometimes we are limited in what we can do to fix those. Q: Why are you guys so much cheaper? A: Not because we are crazy, we just offer our gunsmithing services to internet customers at the same prices we have been working for our local customers for many years. I am not saying the big name gunsmith's aren't good or even great, or that you don't get your money's worth. But there are a lot of people who can't even afford to think about using them, and we are here for those people. |
