Why Another Car Guide?

A number of years ago my sister came home from buying a "new" truck.  It was a used, year old, full size Dodge, standard cab utility truck with no headliner or carpet on the floors.  I asked what she paid and when she told me, I felt like someone punched me in the stomach (it was about $5000 more than what it should have been).  Not knowing what to say, and being her bigger brother, I said, "You were robbed!"

I went back to Bob Dance in Orlando with her and after much discussion renegotiated the deal to where she could get the next model year Dodge Dakota extra cab fully loaded for the same price.

I didn't want my sister, friends, or ANYONE I knew to get taken like my little sister had and decided to put this site together to educate people on how to buy and sell and not lose their shirt (or their entire wardrobe) in the process

If you decide to follow my methodology, once you've closed the deal, enjoy the fact that you've went the extra mile to try to get the best deal possible without becoming a salesperson in the process. You may hear of a better deal afterward, but chances are if you've done your homework, you'll be better off than most impulse buyers that usually get taken for as much as the dealer can make. My sincere hope is that this Website might serve as a consumer advocate to help you before you have one of those costly "learning experiences." As John Wayne once said, "life is tough, it's tougher if your stupid!"

Happy shopping,

Tom Crowell
