Mr. Symon Chang is the owner of Symon and Associates. Symon and Associates provides end-to-end Internet e-Commerce solutions for both small business and large enterprise. It also provides Internet Technologies consulting and training.
Mr. Symon Chang was the Chief Architect at Internet Image Inc. . Internet Image Inc. is acquired by Intraware Inc. (NASDAQ:ITRA) the leading IT e-Marketplace for Web-based software and services, based in Orinda, California. Internet Image Inc. develops software products, TargetLink(tm), for the electronic software distribution.
TargetLink is a Java-based,
enterprise-level software and data distribution solution for moving and managing content
to networked clients, using the BeyondPush(TM)
technology in Internet/Intranet environments. It adapts Java RMI and JDBC
to control and manage client/server communication.
BeyondPush(TM) delivers the enterprise-level control and management capabilities that are not possible in traditional Push technology.
Symon was the lead developer and is responsible for the technical management of the engineering team. He insured the timely delivery of high quality market focused software. His responsibilities included defining the software architecture for the TargetLink product, defining functional specifications, scheduling product development, writing code, managing an 18-engineer software team, and directing software tests with QA team.
Mr. Symon Chang has 20+ years experience in data processing from both large enterprise environment and small entrepreneur companies. He is an expertise on development of state-of-the-art Internet/Intranet-based Java applications and large scale distributed client/server systems.
He was a project leader at Bank of America, where he led a 12-programmer team and developed a large change management system (CMF) that manages 20,000+ PC workstations in 1,500+ LANs statewide. He also designed and implemented a systems management infrastructure for all critical UNIX servers at Bank of America.
Mr. Chang was a technical writer for several computer magazines in Taiwan, including LAN Magazine, Connectime, Infoweekly, and Hope-Net CD Magazine. Since 1993, he has published over 100 computer networking related articles in Taiwan. He has published a Chinese book on the topic of "Managing an enterprise client/server environment" in Taiwan, 1995.
Mr. Chang is an adjunct faculty at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, taught Advanced Data Communication, Advanced C/C++ programming language and Java language. Now, he is teaching Internet Architecture and Database Management Systems. He also taught telecommunication graduate classes at National University in San Jose. In 1996, he taught Java programming classes at multiple companies. He received his MBA Degree from Golden Gate University, and MS Degree from San Jose State University.
Mr. Chang has been an active member of CINA since 1994. He was CINA’s Technical Advisor in 1996. Now, he is the Board of Director for CINA, from 1998 to 1999.
