Since 1994, I have participated and contributed my time in so many CINA activities, including invited conference speakers, prepared event flyers, wrote press release for Chinese news papers, planned seminar events, submitted articles for newsletter and Journals, instructed seminar and delivered speech in CINA’s workshop. Now, I have made a two-year commitment to contribute more of my time in CINA activities. Thanks for giving me such of opportunities.
In the future, I think CINA should not only promote computer networking technologies, but also perform some more people networking activities. The dynamic changes of this information network will create unlimited business and career opportunities to network engineers in the Bay Area. CINA should be the bridge for these new opportunities to our members.
My work experiences include working in larger enterprise and small start-up company. I also have many teaching and publishing experiences. With my background and experiences, I believe that I can build a for all CINA’s members. This is the bridge for new networking technologies and the bridge for small start-up to large companies, as well as the bridge between Bay Area, Taiwan and China.
In May, there was a seminar event for "Challenges in Managing Corporate Networking Environment." In March, there was afternoon seminar for "Internet/Intranet/Extranet Security." All these are organized by me. The June's Entrepreneur Day is also my idea. Now, I am organizing the E-Commerce Conferenece on 10/24/98.

Mr. Symon Chang is the Chief Architect at Internet Image Inc.. By using Java(tm) and Web based technology, Internet Image develops software products for the electronic software distribution.
Mr. Chang has been an active member of CINA since 1994. In 1997, he was the organizer for CINA's March’s workshop -- "Internet/Intranet Applications In an Enterprise Environment." He invited all speakers, put together flyers and e-mail messages, and wrote the press release.
Mr. Chang was CINA’s Technical Advisor, 1996. Together with Dr. Min Chiang, he delivered a CINA Technical Workshop of "Network Design and Management in the Enterprise Environment", in January 1996. He was one of instructors for CINA’s Software Engineering seminar to Guangdong Computer Network Training Group. As CINA’s advisor, he also participated several meetings to arrange CINA’s 1996 events.
In 1995, he invited Herb Chang, Director of Network Mangement Departement at Bank Of America for a speech at CINA's first Network Management Technical Conference.
Mr. Chang is a technical writer for several computer magazines in Taiwan, including LAN Magazine, Connectime, Infoweekly, and Hope-Net CD Magazine. Since 1993, he has published over 100 computer networking related articles in Taiwan. His articles can be found in both CINA 1995 and 1996 Annual Journals. He has published a Chinese book on the topic of "Managing an enterprise client/server environment" in Taiwan, 1995.
