WORKSHOP - SATURDAY & SUNDAY
(Taught upon request. E-mail your interest)

Making Prayer Powerful
Bob Ouradnik, Instructor

Most prayer asks God to do the work. But spiritual giants discover that their own minds, hearts, breath control, visualizing powers, etc. are crucial to making prayer effective. This workshop will explore how we can open ourselves to the flow of divine energy with healing effects for ourselves and for others.

On Saturday, components of powerful prayer will be studied and practiced separately. On Sunday, the components will be united into a process and tried out in experiential ways.
Although both days are needed for the total process, it is acceptable to come for just Saturday if Sunday has a conflict for you.

Suggested donation: $40 (snacks included)

Drama, Music, Art

Two outdoor auditoriums are nearing completion at Sylvan Pathways. One is a chapel for worship services, small weddings and other such gatherings. The other is a larger area, great for musical and dramatic performances, where artists can use their gifts to uplift spiritual awareness through their art.

Fire and Fun

Other settings are available for events such as a sweat lodge, campfires, volleyball and soccer ... and such other activities as the imagination can create. As sufficient demand develops for a particular use of the property that is in keeping with the general purposes, goals and resources of Sylvan Pathways, additional facilities such as an exercise room for yoga or tai chi will be considered for development

Seeking a Path Toward the Common Good

Sylvan Pathways is seeking to create a process by which the unique aspects of a privately-owned piece of property can be used for the common good and enjoyed by both owners and the community. Individuals and groups wishing to use the facilities will be asked for a reasonable donation for its use and to demonstrate a high level sense of care for all property and the environment. On occasion there will be opportunity for groups and individuals to diminish cash charges with work credits. Volunteerism for the sake of the joy of contributing will be encouraged. Implementing this process may require experimenting until a balancing of the needs of both owners and users is achieved.

This is a call to interested persons and groups to explore developing a sense of care and vision that arises out of more than personal ownership of a property . Desire to develop this sense will be primarily manifested as a volunteerism expressed as helping in work projects, to participation in a Planning Council for programs, and perhaps even to election to a Board of Trustees of a legally organized non-profit organization,.
