Yola
I decided to try my hand at something that was not
so impressionistic and came up with this one of Yola reading El Mercurio,
the principal daily newspaper of Santiago. It is not a flattering portrait,
I'm afraid, because Yola was a very elegant and good-looking woman. I was
ready to paint over it, but my teacher, Roberto Hayashi, insisted that
I keep it.
