There is a natural urge to rush into projects and "just do it." Overlooking the fact, for starters, that no one has the same idea of what "it" is. Use careful planning starting with a clearly stated goal. Plan on testing results and revising the system as needed. Prove that your concepts work; don't assume they will.

The iterative prototyping approach may appear to delay completion. In fact, this entire process may shorten development time, improves quality and ease of use, and helps ensure success.
