Sweetwind is the name I use in the world of Elfquest
fandom. If you haven't read the Elfquest comics yet, I highly recommend you do! By the way,
Elfquest, its characters, situations, logos and their distinctive likenesses are

The Elfquest-based material presented here is not intended to infringe
upon any Warp copyrights. Many thanks to Wendy and Richard Pini for bringing
Elfquest to us and letting us share their world!
A fun activity for EQ fans is to gather into loosely organized fan club chapters, called holts,
in which everyone creates an elf character or two then lets them interact with other people's
elf characters.
Sweetwind
is my eponymous elf of Eight-of-Dreams Holt.
I also have one elf,
Moonspell,
in Trailduster Holt, one elf,
Shadelance,
in Windhowl Holt, and one elf,
Neap,
in Bluereef Holt.

by Linda Tam (unless otherwise noted). You are, however, given permission to use this
art for non-commercial purposes, as long as the appropriate credit is given and you
provide the "shareware fee". The "shareware fee" is simply that
you supply me with a copy (electronic or hard copy) of whatever newsletter/zine the
art appeared in, or a link to the electronic document, or (if none of these applies)
just send me an e-mail telling me what you used and how you used it. That's all!
There are bits of art floating all around this site, but visit
Sweetwind's Art Gallery for a tour of my larger pieces.
Stories:
- Some of the stories I have written, and some other people's as well, can be found at my
Story Page.
Poems:
- I do have a nice EQ-related poem called
Timmain's Choice
if you would like to read it.
Certain sponsors have provided promotional consideration for this page.
Please click-thru their links and help support this site!
Links to other EQ-type sites on the Web:
- Official Elfquest Home Page

-
Anti-Official Elfquest Home Page
- Unofficial Elfquest Home Pages:
- Mike Knauer's Elfquest Page
- This site is home to the
Elfquest Trading Post Bookstore
where your purchases of the Elfquest RCs and other items at Amazon.com send referral bonuses
to a worthy EQ-related cause. Mike has authorized me to be a "branch" of the EQTPBS, so any
purchases through my Amazon.com links also benefit the wolves.
- For Elf Eyes Only
- Vicki "Peacepine" Stephenson's homepage features regular awards to deserving Elfquest fan
pages! Check out her picks! She's also got a gallery of art from various artists,
games, quizzes, and even a wolf page.
- Marty Kuhn's Elfquest Page
- The
Elfquest Archive of Editorials and Letters
is here, plus some incredible
"stuff resembling real life"
and fun games to play on a
Nightfall page.
- Wingthing's Elfquest Archive
- Lots of thoughtful content here; I especially enjoyed the
Top Ten Lists.
- Cathy Purchis' Elfquest Page
- Cathy created
the EQ Index
so you won't have to open every single bagged Elfquest Volume II comic to find
the issues with "Futurequest" (or whatever storyline you're looking for) in them.
Bless her heart! Also lots of Wavedancer info.
- Dreamwood's Den
- Dreamwood's site has an extensive
Who's Who in EQ
(just like the
IMDb,
she uses Roman numerals to distinguish multiple characters with the same name, like
Willowgreen I
and
Willowgreen II!).
Also a useful index of all the short stories in the
Blood of Ten Chiefs anthologies,
in chronological order, with synopses.
- Sarah's Elfquest Page
- The homepage of a holtmate of mine (from Windhowl/Bluereef Holt and Trailduster Holt),
Sarah Hostetler is also active in other holts and is a contributer to Sendings.
She's got her own art at this site, also links to wolf sites. This site is pretty dusty
because Sarah's become editor of Trailduster Holt and has been working on that, and
the Trailduster holt website, instead.
- Robert Delaney's Homepage
- Robert's been an Elfquest fan for quite a while - you may remember his story
"Dreamfinder"
in Yearnings I if you are an Elfquest fan from way back!
Hint: for Robert's Elfquest stories, pick the "Greatest Literary Achievements
of the Twentieth Century" link. (And who am I to argue with that?)
- Now here is something really odd. You know
there is an album of Elfquest songs (and if you didn't, you should order
it from the Wolfrider Shop at
elfquest.com).
But did you know there is a fellow,
Bob Kanefsky,
who has written PARODIES of some of the songs from the album? My fave is
"Read My Lips!,"
which uses the tune from "Troll Hall" to express the Horta's frustration with the
Federation in the Star Trek episode "Devil in the Dark."
(It is just as funny as it was during the first Bush administration, by the way.)
He has also parodied
"Healer's Hands,"
"Shades of Shadow,"
and
"Nightcrawler."
Shade and Diet Coke!
