Work Experience—Legal Publishing 
Typesetting and Page Layout—Long Documents 
Designed style sheets, prepared word processing files, pre-coded, and typeset books by outside authors including; Dunne on Depositions, California Insurance Law, California Paralegal Practice Series–Workers’ Compensation, CJER California Judges Benchbook–Discovery and Before Trial volumes of Civil Proceedings Series. Typeset and updated numerous other volumes following previous style sheets. Twice annually pasted-up and worked on front and back matter for Judicial Council Forms Manual. Typeset front and back matter and blurbs for the all ten supplements to California Civil Practice twice each year. 
Previous to designing volumes consulted and worked closely with editors to create and modify style sheets to conform to author’s and editorial specifications. Gathered information on forms and additional material to be used. During typesetting corrected errors, modified styles, and inserted scanned or pasted-in material, taking manuscripts to editorial sign-off and camera-ready state. Coordinated all material for shipping to printers. 
Typesetting and Page Layout—Newsletters & Miscellaneous Short Documents 
Designed and typeset Miller and Starr Newsalert bimonthly. Also prepared and typeset California Insurance Law Reporter, California Tort Reporter and California Construction Law Reporter monthly. Worked closely with several outside authors on newsletter production. Designed and/or produced several other in-house and commercial newsletters. 
Regularly created all blurbs and designed signs, flyers, brochures, labels, forms, corrective inserts and various other printed matter. Skilled at matching type and form for corrections and special inserts. Developed templates and other systems for fast and cost-effective production of repeat material. Voluntarily wrote, typeset and maintained Stylebook for Production Department Desktop Publishing. 
Cover Design 
Designed cover art and produced film or camera-ready art for Deering’s California Desktop Code Series, Dunne on Depositions, Paralegal Practice Series, California Insurance Law, Legal Research and others. Annually updated cover art for many other volume sets and supplements. Special efforts to make cover designs both attractive and cost efficient. 

Work Experience—Other 
Typesetting and Design 
Two years daily production of software manuals, business presentations, technical schematics, reports, flow charts, slide presentations, and advertising materials for Bay Area telecommunications company. 
Writing 
Software reviews and interviews with computer industry personalities have been published in over half a dozen computer periodicals. Familiar with technical and copy writing. 

Software and Hardware 
Accomplished using Corel Ventura Publisher and Corel Draw. Experienced user of Word for Windows, PhotoShop, FrameMaker, PageMaker, Fractal Design Painter, Quark, Illustrator, FrontPage, PowerPoint and a variety of other productivity and graphics software on the PC. Flexible and adaptable to cross-platform computer use. Experience on Macintosh and Amiga. 
Maintained graphics equipment, printers, records, files and supplies.
