Herbal Punch and Ice Ring.

Herbal Punch

Ingredients:

4 Cans frozen juice concentrate do not dilute.

4 teaspoons rose water

Sparkling Water 2 liters

Herbal Tea Concentrate

Procedure:

Make herbal tea of your choice. I use loose teas or commercial herbal tea combinations. Lemon verbena, orange, hibiscus, mints, fruit any combo will do.

Boil 1 quart of water add herbs.

Let steep 20 minutes. Cool Pour 1/2 tea Cool Pour into punch bowl

Add 2 cans of frozen juice concentrate, raspberry, cranberry, tropical fruit etc.

Add 1 liter of sparkling water

Add 2 teaspoons rose water

Add Ice ring.

You may also add sherbet at this time.

Recipe wail make 2 batches of punch.



Herbal Ice Cubes

Give your drinks a festive look by freezing herbs and flowers in water in Ice cube trays.

Nasturtium petals and leaves, mint leaves, rose petals, apple blossoms violets and violas will add a splash of color.



Fill Ice Cube Tray half full of distilled or purified water, add the flowers, herbs and leaves. Freeze. Top with water and freeze. You can make large batches in advance. Store in zip lock freezer bags.

Purified or distilled gives a clearer Ice Cube



Herbal Ice Ring

Should be prepared a day ahead

Ingredients1 quart of water

1/8 cup agave syrup or 1/c sugar or honey.

10 Herbal Teas, bags or 1 cup various dried bulk herbs. Lemon balm, lavender, mint, orange, raspberry, peach, hibiscus or any of the commercial combinations,

Fresh unsprayed flowers, violets, pansies, roses

Fresh or Frozen raspberries, strawberries or blue berries, peaches

Any fruit will due, get creative,



Make a very strong herbal tea with one quart of boiling water Steep 30 minutes.Add Agave syrup. Strain into Pitcher.

Pour a layer into mold. Freeze until hard

Place flowers into mold freeze for 20 minutes.

Add tea to cover. Freeze until firm

Add layer of fruit. Freeze

Continue to add tea flowers and fruit until mold is full freezing until firm between each layer.



NOTE: you can purchase rose water at Central Market or any Persian Grocery Sotre.

Mint, Ginger lemonade

Ingredients:
1/2 cup (packed) chopped fresh mint leaves
cup chopped fresh ginger
agave syrup sweeten to taste syrup is very sweet.
2 cups boiling water
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 cups (about) cold water
Zest
Crushed Ice
Fresh mint leaves
Lemon slices
Preparation:
Combine chopped mint, ginger, and honey in medium bowl. Add boiling water. Let steep 30 minutes. Strain into 4-cup glass measuring cup, pressing on solids to extract liquid. Add lemon juice and enough cold water to measure 4 cups total. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate.)

Fill glasses with ice cubes. Add lemonade. Garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices and serve.
Makes 4 servings.
