Susan Perkins McNally, Ph.D. received her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University Northridge, and her Ph.D. from International College, Westwood, CA. She is a specialist in Chemical Dependency Counseling from Mission College, as well as a specialist in sandplay therapy. In addition to her psychology background, she has a Bachelors degree in Art. Multifaceted, Susan is an accomplished artist who has exhibited and sold her paintings, prints and sculpture. Susan's artwork is in collections in California, Washington, Oregon, and Texas.
Dr. McNally has worked in various settings including clinics, schools and private practice. In California she was formerly and is currenly licensed as a Marriage, Family and Child Counselor (M.F.e.e.), and she was formerly licensed as Licensed Professional Counselor (L.P.e.) in Texas where she was employed by Buckner Community Services. She was a member of the San Fernando Valley Child Abuse Council in Southern California, and has been a speaker at many children abuse prevention conferences.
Dr, McNally has spoken for numerous professional organizations including: The California Association of Children's Homes, Bienvenidos Foster Family Agency, Walden Environment, the San Fernando Valley Child Abuse Council, and A Creative Change Place.
She is married, has three grown sons and five grandchildren. Her hobbies include painting, sculpture, reading, writing, cooking, traveling, teaching, and when the climate allows, gardening.
Dr. McNally is available for lectures and workshops in sandplay therapy.
