| Sunny & Share began simply as a sample of my work for the portfolio assignment of my PR Management course during my senior year at California State University, Fullerton. After creating the first issue specifically to go into my portfolio, I had so many ideas ricocheting around inside my head, that I decided to continue and put out a second issue.
Shortly after publishing the second issue in November of 2007, two major announcements were made:
I heard about both announcements on December 20th. On the spot, I decided to put out a special, triple-size holiday issue. Until that point, all (OK… both) of the issues I had put out were a single 8½"x11" sheet with the content on one side of the sheet, and my editorial on the top half of the other side with mailing address space on the bottom half. Those first two issues are available in PDF format in The Morgue. |
I wanted to publish, electronically at least, on or before Christmas Day. That meant generating three pages of content, and a half page holiday image for the back page… in four days… not to mention all the holiday trimmings. Working feverishly, I managed to get the research done, the articles written, and the layout completed on Christmas Eve.
The next day, I loaded my work up onto a thumb drive and took it down to my best friend’s place, where his wife graciously let me use her copy of Adobe Acrobat to make it into a PDF. It’s about 2 Megs worth of download, and I’m quite proud of it. Click here to for the PDF. That same day, I created a rough version of this page, just to have a place to upload the file for download by my readers. Now, I’ve found the time to update this page and make it better looking and more complete. So… welcome to the new an improved Sunny & Share website! Come on in, look around.
