1.  JAMES1 WHITE, son of James WHITE and Esther DUNLAP (both born NY) was born 18 November 1803 in Erie, Pa, and died 03 April 1881 in Earlville, La Salle County, Illinois.  He married ELEANOR WILSON 24 February 1825 in Erie, Mill Creek Co, Pa, daughter of NATHANIEL WILSON and HANNAH PHILLIPS.  She was born 29 June 1805 in Erie County, Pa, and died 1877 in Earlville, La Salle County, Illinois.

2.  JAMES JEFFERSON 'JEFF'2 WHITE (JAMES1) was born 14 January 1828 in Erie, Erie County, Pa, and died 16 March 1882 in Saline County, Missouri.  He married HELEN VAN NAMEE 18 December 1855 in Earlville, La Salle County, Illinois, daughter of JESSE VAN NAMEE and ANN FRANCISCO.  She was born 1837 in Ballston, Saratoga County, and supposedly died April 1864.

Notes for HELEN VAN NAMEE:

Helen disappeared in 1863/64. No word from her after that. James Jefferson White told his family that Helen died on 26 April 1866, but no proof can be found. Illinois and Missouri have both been checked for a death certificate and divorce records, but none were found.
