1.  TIMOTHY1 ROARK1 was born Abt. 1770 in Virginia1, and died Abt. 1835 in Claiborne Co, Tennessee1.  He married SARAH BOLEN1 Abt. 17971, daughter of JOSEPH BOLEN and JULIA.  She was born Abt. 1776 in Virginia1, and died Abt. 1855 in Claiborne Co, Tennessee1.

Historical Society Newsletter for March 1998 has the following article: Roark Family Bible Records 'These Bible records are believed to be the family of Timothy Roark and Sarah Bolen. Timothy Roark was a son of James Roark.  The rest of the family, with the exception of one other son and possibly a daughter, were massacred during an Indian raid at or near Roark's Gap in 1780. This was in Washington County at that time, but it is in present Tazewell County in Baptist Valley.'
