Camp Renter's Info

Camp Balsam is a historic Lake Sunapee house, circa early 1900s, and has been seen in historic photos of Croft Beach.

Balsam's rusticness is reminiscent of "On Golden Pond," and the lake it sits beside is similar to the pond as well, only larger!

Balsam is ideal for young families and is situated directly on the natural sandy beach. The water here is crystal clear, sandy-bottomed and shallow - ideal for young children just getting their feet wet. Room to dig in the sand or build sandcastles, a pier alongside, and an overlooking shaded porch are just the ticket for relaxation and fun.

Balsam sleeps 6. The two upstairs bedrooms sleep 2 each. One has two twin beds, and the other has bunk beds. An alcove with a sink is between them. Downstairs, the master bedroom features a king size bed, sleeping 2, with an antique brass bedstead.

Balsam's single bathroom is downstairs, and contains a shower. The kitchen has an electric range and refrigerator, plus oversize antique porcelain sink. A full-size gas grill and rocking chairs make the back porch the ideal place for a relaxing grill-out.

The rest of the downstairs floor plan includes a large living room with a large lake-view picture window, dinette, uncovered side porch, and a covered front porch (beachside).
