John has recorded a new "roots" CD titled "ARIGATOU BABY" after his recent
concerts in Japan. New songs, new guitars, with upright and fretless electric bass...a departure from John's fascination
with instruments from other cultures on "Koto" and "Claremont Dragon."

John has been playing upright bass, ukelele, and contributing vocals on "ISLAND
GIRL,"a new CD project with Chris Darrow and Chester Krill (Max Buda) of Kaleidoscope fame.
Sumi & John recently recorded music and voice overs for Kim Fowley's new movie "Outlaws in
America" at LowFi Studios in Loma Linda CA with Patrick Brayer.
We want to express our gratitude for the outpouring of friendship and support we have received from
our many friends following the recent theft of the instruments closest to John's heart for so many years.
John and legendary Rock & Roll Icon Kim Fowley have been working together as a song writing
team. Kim's lyrics and John's music are another phase in Kim's collaboration with Byrds, having written earlier with Skip
Battin and Roger McGuinn. The result is some amazing songs!
"The Earth Is Getting Warmer," "Angels And Trucks," "Picnic In Eternity," and "Rock and Roll Is
