Vacation!
It's my first day of vaction. No plans to go away *yet*, but I'm hoping! Today will be spent buying some new work blouses,
working out at the gym with our trainer, and getting my hair done (new person, came highly recommended though). So, it will
be a nice way to spend my first day off. Oh yeah, I still got up at 6am to run my four miles since it's supposed to be hot
out today!

Race
We just finished the 10k part of the Napa-to-Sonoma half-marathon. The weekend was good, and we had fun! I finished 6th out
of 74 for my age group (40-99, not much of a breakdown!) and Jim and Dee did good as well (34 out of over 140 for Dee and
13 out of 27 for Jim). I was able to run the full race without walking, even though I started off at a good pace with Jim
and Dee. We did the first mile together, and then they took their walking break and I continued on. Dee was doing really good,
and slowed down near the end to wait for Jim. He didn't realize that though and finished right in front of her! But it was
cute that over the finish line there was someone announcing everyone and when Jim and Dee crossed he called off their names
together! I was kind of by myself, so I got my name and city called out. There was a photographer at the end and there is
a decent picture of me stopping my gps/timer (of course) and a couple of Jim and Dee with other people in them. The site says
there are more to come and I remember a couple of places of them taking pictures, so I'm sure I'll find some good ones I can
get of them. I'll probably buy mine! Oh yeah, and I did a lot of reading on the drive up and back. So, it was a really nice
extended weekend!
