New Project
I finished the green sweater, and have been working on my birthday yarn sweater. . . then my daughter asked me to make her another afghan with browns to match her newly painted room. So, I went and bought a dark coffee brown, a medium brown and since they didn't have a light brown that I thought would look nice, I picked a variegated brown. I think it will be a nice combination. I'll probably start on it some time later in the week, after I've made some more progress on my birthday yarn sweater. Because I also want to start a scarf with the yarn my daughter gave me from France - but that might wait just a week or two for my friend to come back from vacation and I'll work on that while she works on one with yarn she just bought on her vacation!

I've also been reading quite a bit. Mostly books in a series - and of course I feel like I have to start at the beginning before buying the newest one. The Pendergast series (I'm on book 7 out of 8), the Kinsey Millhone series (I'm only on book C!). The Kathy Reichs books (we listened to the last one on tape, and now I'm in the middle of the first one with the second waiting next to my bed). The Anita Blake series (on book 4 out of something like 11). And I traded in paperbackswap for the first in a series from Robert Jordan and Terry Goodkind. Not to mention all of the other good books I have to read as well. Oh yeah, I can't forget the women's murder club books as well by Patterson (I'm on "4th of July" with "The 5th Horseman" waiting by my bed as well. Wow, looking at it all in writing, it's going to be a while before I'm caught up with some of these series!!

Finished!
I finally finished a sweater!! This is the green summer sweater I've been working on at the same time as a friend of mine. I had a bit of trouble joining and doing the edging because I kept leaving big holes where I would try to do a stitch. But, I got creative and pulled yarn here and there. So, overall it's not too bad! Here's a picture of my daughter holding it up for me:

Another quick update
A week has gone by, and not too much progress this time. I did just a little of knitting, and a little of reading, but I did up my running. So that's good. But I think this weekend between the laundry and cleaning I will pick up my book and maybe finish putting my one sweater together. If I do, I'll be sure to take a picture and post it here!
