Another Week
Another week and things are going well. I've been reading (not as much as before, but still a bit), I picked up my knitting
again (I only did a small bit there, but at least I've started back again), and I did a long run this weekend even though
it is really muggy out (but at least only 73 degrees in the am). And even though it's summer, work is just starting to get
busy again (especially since one coworker just gave her notice - they are moving to another state!!). So, things are going
along well. Maybe I'll have more interesting things to post next time. . . like actually finishing one of those sweaters.
. .!!

She's Home!
My youngest is home from her one month trip over the Europe. She said it was great, but really busy and not a lot of food!
I think she's happy to be home to relax and eat normal, but looking forward to going back there again some time in a more
relaxed trip! But, we're glad she's home :-)

We're back!
We back from Napa and it was another really nice vacation!! My husband and I went on a tour of a local winery the first
day (really nice idea, saw the wine barrels:
and learned a few more lessons about how they make the wine and how to properly taste it.) We then went to a couple other
wineries, but nothing that really stuck out in my mind.
The next day we went on the wine train! That was fun, but not something I would want to do over and over. It's a bit
on the $$ side, but the food is really good and it is a neat trip. Before you leave you got to try two wines and they went
over the different types you were tasting and gave some good examples. But on the train if you wanted to pair wine with the
food, you had to buy it extra! Oh well. Of course we did, and the food was just wonderful. From there we went to a few more
wineries. One we walked in, took a look around and at the prices, and walked out!! They wanted $20 for trying 4 wines and
then their prices started over $50! We then hit a smaller winery and my gosh were they nice. They talked about the owner and
how he makes his wine. They charged $10 to taste 5 wines, but then refunded that if you bought some. Not only did I try the
5, but they gave me a couple of others to try that they thought I'd like. I ended up buying a few bottles from this place
and they gave us a couple of wine glasses as well! There are a few other places we went as well. And now we've decided to
start keeping track each time we open a bottle of where we bought it, when and our thoughts! Fun!! So, here are a couple of
pictures of my husband and myself on the wine train!!

Another vacation!!
I'm so excited. . . I took a week off of work and thought I was just going to do day trips as I could find them. . . then
my husband told me to see if we could find a decent hotel in Napa Valley. I looked around and was having trouble, then my
husband had me try Priceline. When I found a 3 star hotel for $100 a night (half the regular price) we booked it!! So now
we get to stay three nights up in Napa. Just my husband and myself!! I'm going to bring a couple more books, my knitting and
just relax and enjoy!!

Italy Wins!!
Yup, that's my big news. Italy won the World Cup Soccer!! I was rooting for them the whole time!! It was rather exciting,
and I got a lot of knitting done while watching the soccer games. Now I supposed I'll go back to reading more - at least until
American football starts!! Which reminds me, I'd better start that fantasy football league!

Quick Update
I've been watching a lot of the World Cup games, so I've been getting a lot of knitting done! Besides that, I've been
reading and running. . . and missing my daughter. But, she'll be back soon, with some great stories and a great experience.
But I still miss her!
