End of the week
Not too much to post. I finished a scarf I was making for a friend for her birthday (hi Bev!) and went back to work on the
scarf for a Christmas gift. I received one of the hanks of yarn for the chemo hat and finished that up as well. I am waiting
for two more hanks. One to make a hat and send to my cousin, and the other for future use. I would have been further, since
I had to eat lunch at work for most of this week, but I had a book I was finishing and ended up doing more reading than knitting.
Oh well - at least I'm still on schedule!

Got yarn!!
Okay, so I finally received one of the shipments of yarn I was waiting for. Now I have less than one week to finish a scarf
for my friend. Usually that would be enough time, but this one is knit in the round (double work) and on size 4 needles! I
started it last night though and I'll just take it with me to work on whenever I can. Once finished, I'll go back to the scarf
I'm making for a Christmas gift. I already finished the matching socks!! And then, once those are completed I'll be working
on another set of socks/scarf. . .and then. . .and then. . . well, I can't post everything now can I :-) Maybe pictures after
Christmas. . .

Too long between posts
Okay, I think it's been a bit too long between posts. So, I'm going to update it now! And, I do have some knitting news to
post. I finished the sock scarf - but it still needs to be blocked. Not too bad since I just finished it this afternoon. Also,
I think I posted about doing a second pair of socks for my Dad since I really didn't like the feel of the first pair after
I finished. So, I've been working hard on those to give to my father this weekend, and I have less than one inch to go on
the last sock (I'm knitting while playing on the internet. . . ). Also, I ordered some yarn for another cancer hat (always
sad, but I'm happy to make one if it helps the person in need), and I've ordered yarn to make a sock scarf for my friend (happy
birthday, parially, if you are reading this. . .). I haven't made any progress though on my sweater, but that's been put to
the back burner until I can get some of these holiday gifts out of the way. As a matter of fact, as soon as I finish the socks,
I'm going to start on another pair and a matching scarf for one of my grandmothers - and then repeat the whole thing again
for my other grandmother. All in time to be sent in the mail! I'll get it done though. But my reading will suffer. But that's
okay, since I've finished my goal of 52 books for the year already. My only other goal is to read one classic a month, so
that's the book I'm reading right now. And I think I can at least read one classic next month. As a matter of fact, I plan
on taking off the week before Christmas, so I'm sure once I finish my knitting I'll be able to read at least a couple of books
during that time! Oh yeah, and I finished (and posted a picture of) a scarf I made for my cousin that has uterine cancer.
I plan on mailing it Monday - so I wanted to be sure I took a picture and posted it before I sealed it in the envelope. I
guess that's about it right now. I'll go back to my knittin, my internet. . .and my martini since it's Saturday night "martini
night!"
