Found a new yarn store!
Just a quick update. No real progress in any projects. . . but my friend and I went out this week to look at 3 new stores
to see if we could find anything. And we did! A new one just opened up in Monrovia (and boy has Monrovia cleaned up!) 6 months
ago. They have an area with a couch and chairs for looking through patterns, and then an area with shelves of yarn. Just wonderful!
I did buy yet another scarf pattern, but no yarn - yet!

Not much to add
I don't have too much to add today, but I did want to post a little something. I still haven't picked up the poncho to finish
it, but I will. Also, when my daughter and I finally have some time together close to a payday, I'll take her to the yarn
store and let her pick out the yarn to do the poncho again for her. I haven't looked at the sweater yet either. I'm just not
ready to face that. But, I did complete two cancer hats and got those out to the people who need them, and I've started on
a third one for a little boy (how sad) that I hope to finish over the weekend. Then I'll look at some more projects and hopefully
get inspired again. I may even get to go to a neat yarn store with my friend next week. . . but we haven't quite planned what
we are going to do on our day off together! I just know I need some time off. I took off last Monday and spent it shopping
with my girls. It was nice to be able to sleep in (even though I only did for a little bit, and then still got up early to
get my run in), and read a bit before rushing out the door. I did drive a lot, but it was nice being with them. But now the
next day off is for my stuff and spending on myself :-) I'm pretty sure we'll include a yarn store though!

Project update
I almost finished the poncho. . . but it's not really the right yarn for my daughter. I think I'll finish it anyhow, and then
we'll look together for the right yarn!
I did finish my sweater, but it's a crop sweater :-/ I should have measured myself and realized it was going to be. My friend
suggested that I wear a longer shirt under it untucked like the kids do, and I may try that. My husband suggested I put more
of a bottom on it, and I may try that as well. I'm going to let it sit while I give it some thought.
In the meantime, I may just start that funky scarf because I want to do it just for fun and probably not to wear! I also want
to try making another poncho for the same reason. You know, use up some of that yarn lying around!!

Another quick update
I am almost done with the sweater, but I was really anxious to start the poncho. So, when I got to the point of needing to
wind one last ball for the sweater. . . I pulled out the poncho. And the poncho is not hard to do, so it's a nice break! Not
to mention that I've ordered some more yarn for chemo hats because I need to make two more :-( This time I ordered 4 balls
of yarn though so I have two extra for whenever I need to make some. It's hard knowing you want to do something for someone,
and having to wait a week for the yarn. But, I figure I'll finish the poncho and maybe my sweater before the yarn gets here.
And the hats are so easy to make, that when I'm done maybe I'll finally cast on that pink sweater I've been wanting to make.
. . or I'll cast on the rainbow yarn for yet another shawl I've been wanting to try!

Another nice morning
It's just another nice morning. My husband and I are sitting together, listening to music and playing on our computer (of
course with a cup of coffee)! I've already done my weekend long run (8 miles, yeah!) and I'm just taking a nice break and
then I'll go out and mow the front lawn. The back (which takes a bit longer, can wait until tomorrow morning). Both girls
are out. . . my oldest is at work, but will be getting off in a half of an hour. My youngest is at school taking the SAT subjects
test. She shoulod be done in about a half of an hour as well. So, it's a bit of rest and quiet, and then things will get popping
again. A nice way to spend the whole day.
:-)
