It's been a long week, and it's only Wednesday!! I started work on another scarf over the weekend. . . but then I realized
I was doing it in short stripes and I meant to do the long ones. So, it's put aside until I have time to look at it again.
Work is really busy, the kids schedules are busy, and I'm just trying to fit everything in. The month of April is going to
be nuts (starting this week), and I'm just going to have to get through it until early May. But, by Mother's Day things should
be calm and nice. . . and since there is an end in sight (and not too far away), I will make it! Not to mention I'm going
on a weekend trip in two weeks to unwind as well. . .!!
I guess it's just a scarf kind of month because I started yet another one! Or maybe, it's just that it's an easy project and
I have a lot of leftover yarn to make some nice ones! Either which way, I've started a really pretty green scarf :-)
Oh yeah, and my oldest daughter and I did the 10k for my birthday!! It was great. My other daughter and husband came along
to cheer us on :-)
I finished my scarf!!! Not too long this time, and not too short. And different colors than I had before. . .
Now do I want to start a new sweater, or another frilly scarf that is not too long?!

And not the bike kind (although, I have done some more of that lately as well)! But I actually got out my spinning wheel last
night and sat down to practice again. At first I was frustrated that the wool kept breaking and I couldn't get it to go on
the spool. Then I broke down and used the good wool that I've been *saving* (for the last 3 years) until I could spin better.
Well, better materials makes a world of difference! Not only did I spin half of it up last night, but it let me figure out
how to get the wool to *slide* from my hand into the yarn, and how if it got too thin I would let it wrap around more before
letting go! Now, the yarn is not really consistant, but that's okay!! I'm going to finish it up, figure out how to block it,
and then I'm going to make a hat or scarf out of it!! And then I'm going to buy more wool!! Woo-hoo I had fun!!
