A decent glove!
I finished a pair of gloves. . . finally. I tweaked the pattern a bit between the first and the second one though. I
don't think you can tell by looking, but the second one does fit better. So, that's the one I am posting a picture of here!

Trouble With Glove
Okay, so I really would like to make myself a pair of gloves. So, the first pattern I tried, not only were the fingers
too short, but the thumb was not in a good position. Here is a picture of that one:
So, then I tried a "figure it out as you go" pattern in one of my magazines. The fingers were much better, but again
the thumb was in a really odd place! Here is a picture of that one:
So, looking at that last one, I've made a few changes, bought some more yarn, and here is my third one in progress:
So, I hope I've made the proper fixes. . . and if so I'll be posting pictures of the finished product! If not, I'm
done with gloves. . . .for now!

Lost Message RE: Beer Can Hat
In the middle of reading messages I saw one that looked like it was a question about my beer can hat. . . and then I lost
the message. I'm not quite sure how I did it, and I couldn't find it again. . . I'm not usually that much of an airhead. .
. but if it was a true message - I'm sorry to who ever sent it! I would have answered. . .

Mid week update
Not too much new to post on the knitting. I did start a new mitten with a "figure it out as you go" pattern. . .
but I just wasn't into finishing it after doing the one and having it not turn out right. But, I do plan on getting back to
it this weekend during the football play-offs and seeing if I can finish the glove right. If I can, I'll buy some more yarn
to match the beads I already bought, and then I'll make myself a nice pair of beaded gloves. If not, I'll move on to my next
project. And that will either be a sweater for me with some yarn I've been waiting to use, or another poncho for my daughter
and I to share that's a bit lacier than the last few I made. That's the one I really want to do, but I need to get some yarn
for that! Maybe if Michael's has a sale this weekend, I can get some and not worry that I'm wasting money trying to make up
my own pattern again!
Oh yeah, I did make a book mark for my exchange partner :-) Time to get that one out in the mail!

New Year
Well, it's a new year and time to go back to old schedules. Not too easy when one has been off for almost 2 weeks! But, I
did, and I'm easing back into it. I've slowed down on my knitting (but not stopped). I did a beaded glove, but the fingers
were too short and the thumb not quite right. So, I've found another pattern that is a kind of figure it out as you go one
and I'm trying that with the leftover yarn. It won't make two gloves, but I'm just testing out (and writing out) the pattern
on this one as I go. I also plan on starting a sweater, but I want to take my time and pick out a nice one before just getting
into it). I also have to sew buttons on the last two baby sweaters I made!
