More Done
Well, I spent a lot of time knitting this weekend. Can't put things up here since it's mostly gifts. . . but I will keep pictures
and post a bunch after the holidays! Maybe I'll post a detail picture of one of the items just to show what I'm doing, but
not the project completely!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Just sitting here, watching football and checking my e-mail! I would say that I slept in. . . but I got up REALLY early this
morning to be with my daughter before she went to soccer practice. In that time I sat down and read "Metro Girl"
by Janet Evanovich. It was okay, but that's all. I should have been working on my Christmas gifts. . . but sometimes one has
to relax and read! I'll work on my knitting after I log off here while I continue to watch football!
Oh yeah. . . I posted the picture of Bev's socks. Didn't she take a nice picture :-)

Batteries Died!
Well, I finished the socks for my friend, at 1am on the morning of her birthday! Talk about finishing late. Then, I tried
taking pictures of the socks since I really liked the way they turned out. . .but my batteries died and I didn't have time
to buy new ones before giving her the gift. So, hopefully she'll take a picture and email it to me! Oh, that's right. . .
I didn't tell what I made her! I went to the Knitters on line and found two neat patterns. The first item I made was a special
scarf. It is made in two pieces, sewed together, and then tied a certain way around the neck. It looks really nice though.
The other item was a pair of socks. They were made with some colorful yarn around the top, knit in little triangles, and then
the body of the sock was a nice, burgundy with the color again at the heel. I thought they turned out really nice :-) I then
started that night on a pair of socks for my sister-in-law, but I lost one of my needles some where in my car! And sad enough
to say, this is not the first or second time this has happened! I've already bought two sets of size 2 double pointed needles
and now I only have 3 left again! So, I'll buy some more this weekend and not stress about getting them done before Saturday
(when we'll see them). Instead, I actually picked up my book last night and enjoyed reading in bed - while the rest of the
family sat in bed drinking hot chocolate and watching tv!

What a Concert!
Okay, it's not knitting/crocheting content, or even reading content - but it was exciting for me! I went to see
Andrea Bocelli in Las Vegas over the weekend. I enjoyed the concert so much, it's hard to even begin to explain! Needless to say, if
he comes out this way again I want to go!! As for knitting, I did update some of my pictures on this front page. . .!!

Another Week Gone By
Okay, I'm getting back into the swing of things. . .just not taking pictures! I finished the purple afghan with the squares
- and it took 450 squares! I like the look of it, but there are so many ends that I had to weave in and some of those ends
pop up here and there. So, I'm just not comfortable giving it away :-/ I've also made progress on my other purple afghan.
I'm supposed to make 6 or 8 panels (I don't remember how many at the moment!), and I finished one full one last night and
started on the second. I do plan on getting a picture of that one and trying to be sure all of the purples come out a bit
nicer than my last picture of purple yarn! I'm also still working on the baby stuff. I finished another sweater (except the
buttons) and am almost done with the matching hat. I've bought another skein of green baby yarn and I should be starting on
that last sweater next week. I still have some yarn that I am looking at making a new sweater with. . . .so I may be starting
that some time soon as well. Also, a good friend's birthday is next week and I usually make something along with the gift
(which I bought and won't say here in case she reads this before her birthday. . .), so I may work on that this weekend as
well. And since I'm going on a road trip with my husband, it may be a good time to start the gift since it's easier for me
to talk and knit than to try and read my magazines and ignore him - especially since it's a trip for our 20th anniversary!!

Purple afghans
Well, I am almost done with the first purple afghan, and I just like it so much that I don't think I can part with it! So,
I went out and bought even more purple yarn and I started a new afghan with a new pattern! It's an easier pattern, but it's
turning out nice so far. Maybe when I finish these I will start a new sweater or some socks. . .I have enough yarn for both
projects without shopping!!
