Another Weekend Gone By
Well, I spent all of Saturday working. And when I say all, I mean ALL! I worked straight from 10:17am to 10:30pm. Okay, I did take a 10 minute break to talk to my daughter on the phone! So, Sunday I spent watching football, doing laundry, and knitting!! I made some good progress on the baby afghan and the granny square afghan (I know, that's crocheting), and I made my best progress on the sweater I am making for myself. Now, if the computer is working right, I'm going to post some new pictures. I was even going to finally put in the type of yarn I am using for the sweater, but I forgot to bring the label here again. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow!

A bit of an update
Well, I can finally post here that I made my Mother another poncho for her birthday! I couldn't post my progress because I didn't want her to know! I was trying my own kind of pattern. At first I didn't increase enough in the front and back and half way through it just wasn't laying right. So, I tried a different increase and it seemed to work okay. I should have taken a picture (like the vest), but I forgot! I also did finish a baby sweater and have started on a matching blanket for my niece. And, a new purple afghan - which I am going to give to a friend when I'm done because as you all know I have PLENTY of afghans - but I just love making them! I also started on a new sweater for myself. It's a simple pattern made with some wool my friend brought me (I don't remember if it's from New Zealand or Texax!). It's done in almost one piece from the neckline down. But I'm about to the point where I need bigger needles, and those needles are on order. So, that one may need to wait until next week. In the meantime, I'm having a lot of fun knitting/crocheting while watching those sports games!

Almost the end of the week. . .
Well, it's almost the end of the week, and I can't wait for the weekend! It's been so busy at work, and at home that I just feel stressed! Oh well. I can't complain because it doesn't happen too often. Needless to say, not too much new on the knitting/crocheting part - and no new books at all! But, this weekend I'm spending Saturday in Pasadena doing a 5k in the morning, and then Sunday is celebrating my Mom's birthday! So, it should be a nice weekend.

Too Many Afghans!
I was rather busy this week, but I still ended up finishing both afghans!! I put one in my ever growing pile in my room, and one out in the family room (it matches my loveseat!). But, just looking at the picture below of my afghan pile in my room, I have too many!! And here is the sad thing, I've found some hidden yarn in my closet and I'm ready to start another one during the football games today!! Well, that and the ever continuing baby sweaters!
Okay, so the program is not letting me put a picture in my blog again. . . so I'm going to put it next to my blog!!

I have a picture!
I'm so happy! I was able to finally upload a picture! Okay, it's not all of the pictures that I promised, but it's a start. Anyhow, this is the babysweater I gave to an old high school friend. The pattern called for a button-hole stitch around the outside, but I didn't like the looks of that. So I crocheted a simple sc all around. So, that's done and I'm still working on that next one. Making good progress. . .

Holiday Needle Work
As much as I planned on being active this holiday weekend, I wasn't! But, I did get a lot of knitting and crocheting done! I finished the rainbow blanket and made some good progress on the other afghan. As a matter of fact, I have only a few more rows that I can do before I need some more yarn. So I probably won't work on that one again until next weekend when I can get by the store again! I also did a lot of work on the baby sweater. The one I'm making now is a bit more complicated than the last two and is taking me a bit longer. That's okay. It's for my niece and I want to make a really nice one. Not that I don't want to make a nice one for the others! Never mind, I'm starting to ramble a bit here. Maybe it's because it's a bit late for me and I really need to get to sleep. I have a big day at work tomorrow and I plan on running a quick 2 miles in the morning just to start the day off right but not make myself too late and get to work running a bit behind! So, I plan on working a bit on the baby sweater this week and maybe starting the baby blanket - but I'd also really like to start another sweater for myself. Oh yeah, and another poncho for my oldest! Which reminds me, I was going to take pictures this weekend, but I forgot! Maybe tomorrow night I'll remember. In the mean time, I do have this one picture I took of the baby sweater I gave to a high school friend last week. I thought it ended up really cute :-) Nevermind, the sever is not working right right now and won't let me post the picture :-( It's been uploaded so as soon as the server lets me, I will post it. Such a bummer that the program keeps having problems like this.

Mid-Week *again*
Okay, I just posted a decent size message and the web builder crashed *again*. Which is why I haven't posted in while - the web site wasn't working. *big sigh*. Here is a summary of what I had written before: work is busy for the next week; I've been working mostly on the afghans; I took my youngest out clothes shopping last night & will be taking my oldest out tonight; haven't picked up a book in a week and I have a library book that is due back in 5 days; still running; I have pictures to add to the site, but one didn't turn out so I hope to redo it and add them this weekend. . .

I think that's about it! I hope to post a lot sooner with a few pictures!
