CB: UK/Canadian, born Hampshire. Graduated from Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1966 with Hons Diploma and gold medal of la Societe des Architectes Diplomes par le Gouvernement. Thesis project: A layered restructuring proposal for Soho. Taught: Canterbury College of Art, University of British Columbia, AA School.

JL: Canadian, born Toronto. Graduated from Manchester University in 1961 with BA Hons (Arch). Thesis project: Museum of First Nations' Art and Culture, Ottawa. Exhibited at UIA Congress. Exhibited artworks and photographic projects at Canadian Cultural Centre, Paris, 1974-75

CB & JL: Work in Ticino on architectural competitions with Luigi Snozzi and Livio Vacchini. Newport School Competition finalists. Architectural practice Vancouver 1969-1984. Completed buildings: University of BC Geological Sciences Centre, Civil and Mechanical Engineering Labs. City of Vancouver Archives, Public Aquarium Sea Otter Pools and Master planning. Competition for New Mountain-Slope Community, winning entry. Various house projects including own house.

London 1984-present. Studio House Camden, various individual house commissions. Work as consultant design architects on projects in UK, Lisbon and Barcelona (completed 11/03).
