The MS Narvik.  Part of the fleet of coastal steamers, or "Hurtigruten" which service the coastal communities.  Part freighter, part passenger ferry and part "cruise ship"  These ships ply an 11 day round trip from Bergen to Kirkenes on the Barents Sea serving 33 towns and villages on route.  We boarded in Bergen for a 3 day trip north to Svolvaer in the Lofoten Islands approximately 100 miles above the Arctic Circle.
