GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITION
Please read carefully the following General Terms and Conditions
outlining the limitations of our liability. Your payment for a tour shall
constitute your absolute consent to all the provisions herewith.
RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENTS
A deposit of $300 per person is required
at the time of reservation - on or before April 18, 1997. Written confirmation
will be issued only after the deposit has been received. Full payment is due on
April 21, 1997. Make your reservations as early as possible to avoid
disappointments.
RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY
St. Petersburg Travel, Inc., 1850 Whittier Ave., Suite K102, Costa Mesa, CA
92627, Tel. number (714) 650-8320, Fax number (714) 650-8302, is a Tour
Operator. Please note that St. Petersburg Travel, Inc. refers only
to the Tour Operating company specified in this brochure, as does us,
we and ours. The companies providing transportation
services, sightseeing arrangements, and hotel accommodations are independent
contractors and are not agents or employees of Roland Park Country School (RPCS)
and St. Petersburg Travel, Inc.. All visas and tickets are issued subject to
the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. In utilizing the services
of the suppliers you agree that Roland Park Country School (RPCS) and St.
Petersburg Travel, Inc. will not be liable for any accident, loss, injury or
damage to you or to those travelling with you; or any problems in
accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or
indirectly from any occurrences or conditions beyond their control, including
defect in vehicles, breakdown in equipment, strikes, theft, delay or
cancellation of or changes in itinerary or schedules, fire, acts of government
or authorities, weather, terrorism, Acts of God or any other causes. The terms
under which you agree to take this tour cannot be changed or amended except in
writing, signed by an authorized officer of St. Petersburg Travel, Inc.. The
Tour Operator and Roland Park Country School reserve the right to withdraw
and/or cancel a tour or to make changes in the itinerary whenever, in their sole
judgment, conditions warrant it. If the Tour Operator and Roland Park Country
School cancel the tour, they shall have no responsibility beyond the refund of
all monies paid to the Tour Operator by tour participants. At any time the
Tour Operator and Roland Park Country School may decline, for any reason, any
person as a member of a tour whereupon the Tour Operators and RPCSs
only responsibility shall be to refund to that person the portion of payment
for the unused services.
AIR TRANSPORTATION AND BAGGAGE
By Finnair Airlines from
their U.S. gateways in jet economy class (airfare - non-refundable). Economy
class baggage allowance, per person, is two checked pieces and one carry-on bag.
Luggage should not exceed 140 lbs., and 70 lbs. each piece.
TOUR DOCUMENTS
A valid passport is required. A visa
is required for all tourists entering Russia. St. Petersburg Travel, Inc. will
handle your visa requirements for you, provided that the necessary documents are
received by the Tour Operator by May 1, 1997. If visa applications are
received less than 45 days before departure, extra charges will apply. Your
airline tickets and final travel documents will be forwarded to you
approximately 2 weeks before your departure.
HOTELS
Accommodations will be provided at hotels listed, or at hotels of the same
or similar quality. Per person cost is based on two persons sharing a
twin-bedded room. All rooms are equipped with private bath or shower.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
All cancellations must be
received in writing. All cancellations will be subject to a $50.00 processing
fee per person charged to offset the costs of handling the reservation. In
addition, the following cancellation charges will apply based on when the
cancellation is received with regards to the date of departure. This is
expressed as a percentage of the tour cost and is calculated as follows (charges
per person): 30 - 10 days prior to departure, cancellation charge - 30% of tour
cost 10 - 3 days prior to departure, cancellation charge - 50% of tour cost 3
days prior to departure or no show, cancellation charge - 100% of tour cost
NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR COST
Cost of passport, transportation
to and/or from Finnair gateways, additional expenses arising from your travel
package, deviations, items of a personal nature such as laundry, telephone, room
service, etc..
INCLUDED IN YOUR COST
All services such as air fare, transfers within Russia, accommodations in
hotels as listed, meals as indicated, sightseeing, English-speaking tour
guides, entertainment and other services specified in each itinerary.
