Thirty years of construction gave me a certain advantage to this trade. I am very good with a measureing
tape, figuring out degrees, making roof trusses and that sort of thing. I also learned in construction the value of
hard work and getting it done on time. I have always liked, at the end of the day, to stand back, look at what I have
done, see it from a distance and then to figure out the next step.

The idea, really, is to just do it. If it is welding or baking or gardening or painting or writing.
Devote time to it, even a little but on a regular basis, do it every day. You will get good at it and produce more than
you ever thought you could. I often start my day with a small trellis, not a big project at all. This gets me
going and almost always leads to bigger projects that I have been thinking about. You don't have to eat the whole thing!
just a little, everyday!
