Kevin
and Ed, The Sponge Awareness
Foundation: Off-beat, bizarre, irreverent, and with a fun and
well-designed
website (sorry, Ed, I ripped off a few of your design ideas. But
you did them so much better).

Yay,
Kornflake! Hear her great radio show "Coffee and Cartoons" (after
a Sponge Awareness Foundation song) in the Lowell, MA area on
WJUL.
Where else can you hear BOTH Dan Hart and Sponge Awareness
Foundation?
Every Tuesday morning starting at 6am! http://www.wjul.cs.uml.edu.
This
is the La Boldiera Bed and Breakfast in
Pesina,
Italy. No, don't look for Pesina on any map. It's sort of
the
Lake Wobegon of Italy (except much more exotic and picturesque). My
buddies
Donato and Marina LaRocca run a B&B in this ancient historical
castle
near Lake Garda, a bit north of Verona. Affordable, funky,
unique.
Go there!
Ah,
Doctor
Demento. What would we have become without you? I
listened
to the good Doctor in 1970 when he was just a local DJ in L.A., playing
four hours of funny records every Sunday. Now he's syndicated
around
the country. He occasionally plays my weirder stuff, and has
since
1982. A very useful adjunct to his site is http://mypage.iu.edu/~jbmorris/,
which will tell you how to stream the show on your computer if you
don't
get the Doctor on one of your local stations. Another site for
this
purpose is http://www.krellan.com/demento/.
Tom
and Ray Magliozzi of the NPR program Car
Talk dispense humor and car advice every weekend, and often play a
few seconds of songs about cars. My songs "Traffic" and "Big Rig"
made it onto the show in 1998 and 1999, instantly propelling me to a
higher
level of obscurity.
WUMB,
91.9 fm on your dial in the Boston area; great mix of great acoustic
artists,
both local and national acts. Wonderful people, supporting local
clubs and artists. Thanks to all of them for getting me on the
air!
CDbaby.com
carries music no one else does... as well as music everyone else
does!
That means twice as much music (if my math is correct)! Easy and
fun to use. They sell BUNCHES of my CDs! And what a CUTE
logo.

And
of course, Weird Al Yankovic, who actually wins Grammies for doing
wacky
music. Something the rest of us only dream of. www.weirdal.com.
