ST. KEVORK MONASTERY

St. Kevork Monastery, located in the village of Khule, near Kharpert. A tradition holds that its founder was St. Thaddeus the Apostle, who evangelized Armenia with St. Bartholomew in the 1st century. However, it may have been established by a monk named Moses, hence its alternate name, movsisavank ("monastery of Moses").
