ST. BARTHOLOMEW MONASTERY
St. Bartholomew Monastery (13th c.), in Vasbouragan. One of Jesus Christ's apostles, St. Bartholomew is considered (with his fellow apostle Thaddeus) the first evangelizer of the armenians, in the 1st century. after his martyrdom, the apostle's body is believed to have been interred here.
