Rho Ophiucus to Pipe Nebula
This section of the central Milkyway has some beautiful dark nebula to the left with the darkest section referred to as the Pipe Nebula. Wisping up like smoke from the pipe combines more dark Nebula completing a sideways image of a prancing horse (use your imagination a bit!). Off to the left is the bright red Lagoon emission nebula and the fainter yellow, red and blue nebula complex to the right with the bright gold star Antares is called the Rho Ophiucus nebula complex. |
