Rho Ophiucus Nebula Region
This complex area of the sky makes for one of the most beautiful photographic objects. To the lower left is the bright star Antares (the eye of the Scorpion in the constellation Scorpius) and has an unusual yellow emission nebula IC4606 surrounding it. The triple star at the top is designated Rho in the constellation Ophiucus and is surrounded by a blue reflection nebula IC4604. To the right of Antares is the bright globular cluster M4 and the red nebula to the right surrounding Sigma Scorpius is SH2-9. There are 2 dark dust lanes leading off to the left. |

Comments: Lots of thin high clouds. Guided well. Exposure probably hit sky fog limit. |
