Risk Identification Survey (Industrial)
The risk identification survey identifies risk factors (specific conditions which have been acknowledged as contributing to the development of CTDs) to which an employee is exposed. A risk identification survey for industrial environments is provided in Figure 5.2. As can be seen from this survey, the primary factors for which risk identification is concerned include the postures and forces an employee experiences while working, the repetition and duration of these risk factors, and exposure to physical stressors.

Risk Identification Survey (Office)
The risk identification survey identifies risk factors (specific conditions which have been acknowledged as contributing to the development of CTDs) to which an employee is exposed. A risk identification survey for office environments is provided in Figure 5.7. As can be seen from this survey, the primary factors for which risk identification is concerned include the postures an employee assumes while performing the required tasks, the mechanical stress applied to the employee's body, exposure to work organization issues, and exposure to environment factors. Three other issues not included in the survey but described below are repetition, the force an employee exerts in performing the required tasks, and psychosocial factors to which the employee is exposed.
