well you didn't think I'd tell you everything did you :)
The day started at my flat with a nice glass of red wine , Merlot my favorite, before my escort arrived to take me down to London.
After a brief drive down to London we left the car to take the Tube into the centre. By now it was around 5pm so the tube was very busy. Imagine my surprise ( and pleasure) when a very nice man insisted I have his seat. I had to try very hard not to spend the rest of the journey grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
All too soon we arrived at our stop and fought our way through the crowds to Trafalgar Square. It was still quite sunny so we spent a few minutes posing in front of Nelson's Column for some photos. We accosted an innocent French tourist to do the deed for us and she seems to have understood what we wanted ok judging by the photos.
Photos session done we made out way to the theatre. We had decided to go to see Fame and I was really looking forward to seeing the show. As we still had 30 minutes before the show we had a drink in the bar, but not before I'd had a crisis over whether to check my coat or not. After deciding I'd keep it we observed the world go by as sipped my G&T and checked out what everyone else was wearing. Soon it was time to take our seats, so we began to find our seats , at which point I decided I did need to hang my coat. Well it is a ladies prerogative to change her mind , and I'm always changing mine, just ask my friends.
The show was great but seemed to be over so quickly, but then that always seems to be the case when its something you enjoy. Anyway we collected my coat and set off to find somewhere to eat. After wandering around for a while we found a nice little restaurant which seemed to have a good menu. The meal was lovely and the restaurant had a very nice relaxed atmosphere , where I felt very much at home. Soon it was coffee and liqueurs time and once again we hit the streets this time looking for a cab to take us back to the car and home. The end of a lovely day and something I'll look forward to doing again.
