Research Areas
Dr. Snyder specializes in the philosophy of art, social and political philosophy, and
nineteenth and twentieth century continental philosophy. He has particular interests in researching the communicative
dimension of artistic practice.
Current Projects
His current projects include a study of the effects of Turkish language reform
on Islamic political identity and a book project Hegel, Nietzsche and Danto: The End of Art or the End of Communication?
which is in the process of review with Penn State Press.
