While in the Yucatan arranging interviews with Mayan elders
to discuss the calendar, I was inspired to begin another video project. Girls & womyn were invited to
creatively share their thoughts, songs, body language, etc. about Earth.
"WOMYN THINKING ROUND EARTH" was birthed in the land
of sunshine & flourishing growth near the Mayan temple called, Tulum, overlooking the Carribean Sea. The video is
a refreshing collection of heartfelt wisdom. The Goddess is often shown in her three phases of maiden, mother &
crone. The year 2005 segment turned out to be the youthful voice of the Maiden. . . . . Womyn
everywhere are invited to contribute to the project !

In ancient times, Mayan womyn would make pilgrimages
to Ix Chel's shrine located on the Island de Cozumel. Sometimes known as the Rainbow Goddess, she bestowed
blessings for fertility, childbirth & a happy family.
When the humans disrespect the natural world of
harmony & peace, Ix Chel is a wrathful crone protectress who causes storms & hurricanes. Recently, Octobre 2005,
hurricane Wilma raged across Cozumel and along the Carribean coast.
The Mayan Calendar completes a 5,2000 year cycle
on Winter Solstice, 2012. Ix Chel is the Goddess glyph to symbolize the Age of Aquarius, pouring water from her sacred
gourd.
To bring a positive outcome for the 'Shift of the Ages, this Mayan Goddess
is a powerful ally of White BUffalo Calf Woman.
