According to the Inuit elders, SEDNA was the beautiful daughter
of Anguta and his wife. Many suitors came to woo her, however, not one could win her heart. One day, a sea
gull came to her and promised her a soft life in a warm hut full of bearskins and fish. Sedna flew away with him
to live with the bird people. Instead of the promised conditions, Sedna found her home a stinking nest of filth and
squalor. A year passed and then her father came to visit . Sedna begged him to take her back home with him across the
waters. Anguta~"man with something to cut"~ put his daughter in his kayak to bring her back to the human world.
Perhaps he killed the bird husband first, perhaps he just stole the bird's wife. In either case, the bird people followed
the kayak. The vengeful birds flapped their wings until the waves of the sea rose and threatened to tip the
kayak. On the man and daughter struggled, until Anguta realized that flight was hopeless.
To save his life, Anguta shoved his daughter
overboard to drown. When Sedna tried to climb back into the boat, he cut off all her fingers. At the bottom of
the sea, she lived thereafter as queen of the deep, mistress of death and life, "old food dish", who provided for the people.

Her fingers became the fish and marine animals, and she alone
decided how many could be slaughtered for food. Sedna was willing to provide for the people if they accepted her rules:
for three days after their death, the souls of the animals would remain within their bodies, watching for violations of Sedna's
demands. Then they returned to the Goddess, bearing information about the conduct of her people. Should her laws
be broken, Sedna's hands would begin to ache, and she woud punish humans with sickness, starvation, and storms. Only
if a shaman traveled to her country, Adlivun, and assuaged her pains, would the sea mammals return to the hunters. If
the people act righteously, the fish and animals willingly offer themselves as food.
The EARTH MEDICINE WHEEL begins with the four cardinal directions
on Earth, then expands to encompass the planets of our solar system, then reaches to the Sun~stars that form a
constellation with our Sun. The design is now revealing itself. A collection of Goddesses are dusting
cobwebs of the destructive patriarchal paradigm off of this sacred planet. White BUffalo Calf Woman's allies
return with wonderful surprizes to transition us through the Shift of the Ages. Recently, astronomers in
California discovered another planet far beyond Pluto. This new planet has been appropriately named, SEDNA!
| SEDNA Now Returns ! |

|
| A new planet was discovered Nov 14, 2003. "SEDNA" is the name given to the Sun's 10th planet. |
| SEDNA follows an elliptical orbit of 10,500 years. |

|
| In 72 more years, SEDNA will be closest to Sun. Last time she came close, the Ice Age ended. |
|
SEDNA spelled backwards is ANDES . . .Considering her
past experience with the bird people, perhaps she's onto the Condor and Eagle prophecy!
All the other planets are named after old Greek/Roman
gods. Only one is a female, and Venus was somewhat diminished to a sex object in that pantheon. Now arrives Sedna,
from the realm of the Earthy indigenous spirits. Her North Pole is presently endangered by the patriarchy's
Global Warming. In her legend, she refuses to be a victim. She's returned to actively help White BUffalo
Woman with powerful medicine from the direction of the North.
This Arctic Goddess known as "old food dish" is now giving us very rich 'food for thought'.
